I love getting swept up in a good fictional world, and books are probably my favorite way to do it. For all the occasions where I feel the need to write about my exploits with a good book, this category has got you covered. Warning: I can be somewhat of a fangirl about these adventures.

Re-Reading is the BEST! @ 10:40 am

So, last night — purely for something to do — I randomly decided to watch The Host, based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer.  Seeing it again really only served to remind me how much I hate the movie and how much I super love the book and so I’m re-reading it now.  <3

The Tachyon Web

When I was still in my pre-teens, I remember going shopping for books with my mom and coming home with a copy of Christopher Pike’s The Tachyon Web.  I had previously borrowed it from the school library, but never read it.  Even after I owned a copy of it, I never made it very far.  It wasn’t a lack of interest in the story, per-se.  It just fell in-between the cracks of having other things to do, or other books to read.

Since I’ve been having trouble sleeping lately, I grabbed it off the bookshelf and I’ve started reading it.  I’m ashamed to admit that after owning this young-adult book for more than fifteen years, this is the first time I actually got past the first twenty pages…

So far it’s actually pretty good.  More on that once I’ve finished it.
