Privacy Policy

For those of you who have participated in contributing to this website by commenting on posts, whether as a registered user or as an unregistered visitor, I want you to know what I’m doing to protect your privacy and what you can do to help me with that.

Whenever you visit a website and you post information to it, you are giving that website information that otherwise belongs to you.  It’s every website’s job to tell you what they plan to do with that information, but usually they do so in the form of really jumbled user agreements and legal-speak that you never read.  Chances are, you might not read this, but if you do, I want you to know how this website, Auridesion.com, uses and protects your data.

I maintain the right to update this privacy policy at any time.  I will make a public announcement in the event that this policy is updated, including the link to this page, and a summer of any changes made.  I would advise that you review any changes as they are made, or to review this page periodically in case you have missed any changes that have been made since your last visit.

If you contribute to this website in anyway, whether you register an account, or post a comment as a guest, you are required to provide your name (which you could totally make up if you wanted to) and your email address (which actually has to be a valid email address).   Your IP address is also automatically collected by this website whenever you post a comment.  Your email address, along with your IP address are used to personally identify you and your location on the back end of the website; this information will not be made public.  In the event that you break the Terms of Service, I can use this information to prevent you from posting on my website again.

I promise that your email address will never be used to send you spam or junk.  It will only be used to send you information regarding your account at Auridesion.com (if you have one), or to reply to any correspondence from me that you have initiated.

Registered users of Auridesion.com are also required to create a password to prevent unauthorized access of their account.  Your password is encrypted in such a way that I do not have the ability to see what it is at any time.  I will never ask you for your password for any reason.  If someone claiming to be me or anyone else who represents this website asks you for your password, do not give it them.  If you need assistance in accessing your account, you can reset your password using this form.  If you are unable to reset your password in this manner, please contact me for further assistance.

Auridesion.com does not host any advertisements from third parties to make revenue, which means none of your information will be collected by third parties when you access this website.  All links throughout this website lead to other areas of this website, or to other websites that I personally trust.  I will do my best to moderate comments posted to my blog, to ensure there are no dangerous links which may lead you to a website or webpage attempting to collect your personal data.  However I cannot be held responsible for links posted in comments not made by myself or Aurthose; if you choose to follow links posted in comments by anyone other than myself or Aurthose, you do so at your own digression.

You should not post any personally identifying information to this website.  Because this website is perfectly free and publicly accessible to anyone, any information you post to this website may be seen by anyone at anytime.  If you do publicly post personally identifying information, I cannot promise that your information will be safe.

You should never post any of the following types of personally identifying information:

  • Government issued identifying numbers, like your social security number, or passport or driver’s license number.
  • Your home or mailing address.
  • Passwords or PINs (personal identification number).
  • Credit card or bank account information.

To the best of my ability, I will censor such information during comment moderation.  However, registered users of Auridesion.com should keep in mind that if you have previously posted a comment that was approved during the moderation process, your subsequent comments may not be held for moderation before they are made public.  Although I can still edit and delete comments, even after they have been approved, I may not have a chance to remove the comment until after it has already been made public.

If you have any further questions regarding this policy, please feel free to contact me with your concerns or inquiries.  I will make my best effort to respond as quickly as I can.
